Sunday night was so much fun. We had dinner at our house with a bunch of our friends that rarely all get to hang out together. Our dinner was in honor of Amber and Seth getting married, since they never had a shower thrown for them, we wanted to give them a nice dinner (Amber insisted on no presents!). :( So, we all ate some lasagna and apple pie together, enjoyed some great conversation and laughs, and ofcourse- some trampoline fun as well! ;) It was such a blast, I sincerely hope we can all get together again like that soon! Those in attendance were: Amber and Seth, Kevin and the boys and I, Kevan and Katie Riley, and Steph and Nora Werdon. Unfortunately, Mark Werdon was working. Another exciting part of the night was when Katie and Kevan showed up, Elijah was asking a bunch of different people to go jump with him on the trampoline... lately he'll ask people if they have a baby in their tummy (since my sister is pregnant, it has started the questioning). So, he happened to ask Katie if she had a baby in her tummy, and Katie got all flustered and said, "Actually, ... I do!" We were all shocked and so excited! How funny that God can use a 3 year old to bring out exciting news like that! Until then, she hadn't decided how to break the news, but it was taken care of for her! ;) Congratulations again, Kevan and Katie-- you are going to make great parents, and you have a lot of work to do if you're going to have a GOOD ninja assasin!!!

I believe for Elijah's 2nd Christmas, my parents got him his own little Thomas the Train chair to sit in. He loved it so much. I had put it away in the boys room a while back, due to lack of room in the living room. Plus, he usually just sits on the couch now that he's bigger. Something reminded me of it the other day, so I pulled it out for Tyler. Needless to say, he loves it as well. Here's just a couple pics of the boys! :)

This last weekend we went camping for a few days to New Melones Lake, about a couple of hours from here. It was in the high 80's/low 90's the whole weekend, which was soo hot compared to the weather we'd been having. But, we went out on a canoe, and got to dip in the water. Tyler wasn't a fan of the life vest at first, but once he cooled off in the water, he enoyed being on the boat. Elijah did lots of bike riding, and we all had a great time. Kyle came for the day on Sunday after church, and when Elijah saw him jump off the dock into the water, he decided he wanted to do it, too. We put on his life vest, and believe it or not he actually jumped in without being coaxed. He of course then screamed bloody murder for 10 minutes because he completely went under and it terrified him... but, hopefully he'll be willing to do it again sometime soon! I wish I had pictures of the boys in the canoe, or by the water, but whenever we went out on the boat I left the camera behind for safety reasons!

UNBELIEVABLE

Elijah has never been one of those kids that falls asleep anywhere. He cat-napped his way through the baby stage, then as a toddler started taking 2 hr naps once during the day. He hardly ever slept in the car. Just basically difficult when it came to napping. Now he'll nap in the car easily, and in horribly awkward positions, lol. If he's sick, he'll fall asleep on the couch occasionally. Well, the other day, he had been quiet in the living room for awhile, and this is what I came out to. HE WAN'T EVEN SICK! lol. Some of you probably aren't impressed, but for those that know him well, know how shocking this is for him to just pass out while watching some t.v.

All New Haircuts!

For the first time we took the boys in to get haircuts where Kevin goes (Sports Clips). Elijah had been to a salon before (when Linz was here and she cut his hair), but neither of them had been in to a salon for a stranger to cut their hair. They both did surprisingly well, and the hair cuts came out so adorable! We got them both a fade, which I am not talented enough to pull off (usually Elijah gets a #2 all over, lol). And I haven't braved cutting Tyler's myself YET, but hopefully we can take them in a few more times because of how well it turned out! :)

Yes, I know I'm late-- as usual!!! But this time I had an actual reason-- I got SOME pictures on Easter, but Kevin's brother Kyle got a lot of really good ones. I've been waiting to get them from him so I could put his on here, but finally decided that I have too many posts waiting on a few pictures. So, here I am. Easter Sunday we went to church along with my parents, and were excited to participate in an Easter egg hunt that the church puts on. This would be the 2nd year we've done it. We talked it up to Elijah, even though I don't think he really had a clue what to expect. The hunt was supposed to start at 10:40, which is usually right when church ends. So, we dropped the boys off at their Sunday school spots, and enjoyed service. After service we rushed out to watch Elijah hunt for eggs (thinking surely they would wait to start the hunt until after service let out). Long story short- the hunt happened ON TIME, and because we thought it would take place after service, we had left Elijah's easter egg basket in the truck to get right after church. He was in tears when I asked what happened, and said "All the kids got the eggs and I couldn't get any. Daddy had my basket in the truck, and I couldn't get any eggs cause the kids took them all. And I cried..." It was HEART BREAKING! Later that day, thankfully, we had been invited to the Martens' (Kyle's fiance Kelly, and her parents) house for dinner, and Kelly's mom had bought eggs Elijah was able to hunt for. He had a BLAST, and the best part was he got to look all by himself! :) We also dyed eggs out there, too-- which I don't have pictures of, Kyle does. :( But I did get a picture of Elijah's green fingers, lol!

Kyle was so sweet to take on the challenge of trying to get new pictures of the boys.. it's been probably close to 6 months since they've had their pictures taken. I really wanted to get it done around Tyler's birthday, so I could have some 12 month pictures. These are some of my favorites. :)
