It's A...

Well, we found out YESTERDAY that we are officially having a baby GIRL. I am still in shock. I don't think it'll kick in until things start appearing in our house that are FEMININE, lol. We are thrilled and excited, as well as terrified, HAHA!! This little girl is already turning our lives upside down, as we begin to turn our office into a girl's room... Not sure where all the things in there are going to go, but she deserves her own room I suppose! Thankfully we have SOME time, and she can always hang out in the boys room for a little while if necessary! ;) So now I need to come up with a new Blog name... any ideas!?!?!?!?!

Happy Birthday to ME???

Well, this year I turned 28! We went to dinner with family a couple nights before my birthday and had a fantastic time. The actual day of my birthday I was scheduled to have surgery (not because I thought this would be a fun day to do it, but it worked the best with Kevin's schedule!). Nothing major, just the same procedure that I've had with both other pregnancies... the Dr puts a small stitch in my cervix to help hold baby inside. I have what they call an "incompetent cervix." It's a precautionary surgery that has always gone well in the past. This time, however, it did not go as planned. While preparing to place this small stitch, my dr noticed that I had a huge tear in my cervix.. this is not normal. In fact, in 30yrs of practice he had never seen or even HEARD of this before. So he stitched up this large tear, as well as placed the "cerclage" stitch (which will be removed at 36wks). I was then placed on 2 weeks of absolute bedrest. I was only allowed to get up to use the restroom or shower. For the first few days I had to lay COMPLETELY flat on my back, as I experienced a "spinal headache" from the anesthesia. I also experienced this when I had the surgery done with Elijah. I went back in to the hospital for a procedure called a Blood Patch, which stopped the spinal headache and I was finally rid of the intense pain-- it was awful. Then I finished out my 2 weeks of bedrest. I am now on "modified bedrest," which basically means I have to be very very careful about what I do. I cannot exercise or do any major activites; I was forbidden to fly to WA in June to visit my sister and be with my nephew for his 1st birthday (which broke my heart). All in all I'm happy to report I'm feeling great, and recovered from the surgery. Now it's just up to the Lord to protect and watch over this little one inside me, and keep it safe until I'm due. Also to heal the stitches in my cervix, and keep my cervix intact. Thank you to all those who brought by food, or watched the boys, or babysat me. I am so blessed to have wonderful family and friends who definitely pulled through for our family during this time. I especially have an amazing husband who has been carrying a much heavier load since all this happened. He's been a wonderful help and I love and appreciate him so much! :)

Awana Award Night

Elijah enjoyed participating in Awanas this year. He loved learning verses and stories from the Bible, and meeting new people. He received a participation award, as well as an award for completing his entire book. We were so proud of him, and he can't wait to do it again in the fall! :)

Dillon Beach, May 2010

At the end of May we were able to go camping to Dillon Beach. We started the weekend off with the Conner's, then Ryan came, then the Conner's went home and the Werdon's came. We had a FANTASTIC weekend together, and lots of beautiful weather.

Micke Grove Zoo

Micke Grove Zoo has a Lorikeet exhibit where you can buy some nectar and feed the birds. We went with some friends and the boys LOVED doing this. We had to go back for more food, and if my pockets were deeper the boys would've gone back again, lol. It was so fun to watch them feed the birds!

Camping At Shasta w/ Hess's

In early May we were able to go camping at Lake Shasta with Kevin's parents and family from Oregon, and had a blast. Because of the distance between us, it is rare that we get to camp with them, so we had a wonderful weekend together. The weather was perfect, and the scenery was gorgeous. Elijah and Tyler had SUCH a fantastic time playing with their cousins Gracie, James, Johnathan, and Lillie, as well as with Ariana!! :)

Elijah got to do a HUGE Easter egg hunt at our church-- literally more eggs than he ever could have fit in his bucket! He had a blast... and the candy lasted forever!!! lol

Where Does Time Go???

Okay, it's is really sad that it has been 3 months since my last post. Where has the time gone??? Well, I'm going to try my hardest to catch this thing up... To be honest, it was very unmotivating for me for a while to get on here and post pictures, because they take soo long to load in, and I can only load 5 at a time... It is much easier to keep my facebook updated because I can load a whole bunch of pictures at once. However, I realize that there probably are a FEW people out there that still check this, so I will do my best to fill you in! First I'll post the rest of Tyler's 2nd Bday pics, even though this was from April 3!!!! ;)

Happy Birthday Tyler!!!

How is it possible that my baby boy is now 2 yrs old!?!? Time just flies by so quickly.. we had so much fun for his birthday. Saturday we rented an 18' inflatable slide, and invited some family and friends over for a BBQ. The kids had an absolute blast on the slide-- were on it from 7:30a.m. when it was dropped off (an hr and a half EARLY), until around 6:20p.m. when it was picked up (an hr and a half early!). :( That was the only bummer... but we did get our fill. Almost all of Kevin's family was here, including his parents from OR, along with Karl, Kody and Ariana, his Grandma Preszler from Oregon, and his brother & fam from Santa Barbara-- so that was a special treat. My parents were there of course, however we deeply missed my sister and her fam (can't wait to see them in June for Brayden's 1st bday!!!). Along with quite a few really good friends, the party was a success. I unfortunately did not get a lot of pictures due to being so busy with attending to things, but thankfully Kyle did with his camera, so those will be posted soon!! :)

Surprisingly, it fit quite well in our backyard!

1st Tyler sent down his "oof" (aka "dog")
and then here comes Tyler! :)

Elijah wore himself out on this thing!!
Apparently Elijah and Tyler were going down the slide with party decorations in tow ;)

Dillon Beach

So a couple weekends ago (yes, I am behind on my posts, AGAIN , but our computer died so for over a week I didn't even have the ACCESS to do it... also my energy is majorly decreased these days, as I am definitely feeling prego now... nausea and all!), we went to Dillon Beach. We had amazing weather. We were there from Sunday after church thru Tuesday, and Monday and Tuesday we were blessed with amazing sunshine ALL day! Monday was very windy, but Tuesday was perfect and calm. We had a great weekend, and it felt so good to finally get out and camp!!!

The beautiful sunset Sunday night
Although very windy and chilly, we enjoyed the sunset together on the sand dune :)

The boys were very helpful in starting ALL the fires
And for dinner Monday night we roasted hot dogs over the fire..
Monday night was chilly as well, but this time we enjoyed the sunset down by the water together
The wind from the day made incredible marks in the sand.. so pretty
Tuesday was bright and gorgeous-- no wind at all. We went down to where there is a tide pool area, and both kids loved this
Water was down so low, it left lots of fun places to explore
Kevin found a crab and the boys enjoyed watching it
