A friend of mine I've met through church/mutual friends told me about Museum Day (Smithsonian Magazine offers free tickets to various zoos/museums on a certain day), and we met up at the Sacramento Zoo on Saturday for the day. It was supposed to be 101 degrees, so we met around 10:30a.m. It was indeed a warm day, but we had a lot of fun, ESPECIALLY for getting in for FREE!! ;) She has two boys also, and another girl from church met up with us with her two little girls, and it was a lot of fun. This was Tyler's second time to the zoo, but he actually really got a kick out of seeing all the animals this time. It was great hanging out with Bree and Franse- it was especially nice to have some adult conversations! (Even if half the time we were chasing after kids, or being pulled a hundred different directions!) :)

We have fond memories of this zoo. When we lived in Davis we went often (and had a membership). It's not the best zoo in the world but fun none the less. Next year for Museum Day you should go the Aerospace Museum. We did that last year and it was a blast. The lines are a bit long but you get a chance to climb into a bunch of airplanes. Very fun!
