"The Lady Who Crashed Us..."

So on Wednesday morning around 11a.m., the boys and I loaded up and were on our way to Wal-Mart to go grocery shopping. We were at the stoplight waiting to get on the freeway-- and it happened. It threw me for a loop, but after a few seconds I finally realized we had just been rear-ended. It terrified poor Elijah, who ended up crying a bit. Long story short, we are all fine, dispite alot of soreness, stiffness, and headaches (for me). The boys checked out completely fine from the chiropractor, and I'm still being seen. It will take about 6 weeks for the soft muscle tissue to heal, so I get to enjoy some TLC from the chiropractor. The car had some minor damages, but you know how that goes-- minor things seem to cost a fortune. All minor except for the bulk of the impact was absorbed by my trailer hitch receiver, which was bent in quite a bit. This means the frame of the car is going to have to be fixed... We found out today that although she gave me a PHOTOCOPY of her insurance, it was in fact her father's, and she is uncovered. So, this means we won't even have to pay a deductible because I was hit by an uninsured motorist. I guess that's good news... BOTH car seats have to be replaced (standard procedure I guess when they've been involved in an accident), but we will be reimbursed for that as well. When Elijah refers to the incident now he says, "The lady who crashed us.." Ha ha.
So, all in all, praise be to God, who kept us safe and protected! :)

Welcome Baby Ezekiel!

I recently posted that Kevin's partner and his wife had their little baby boy on September 15th, and we were finally able to take them dinner on Monday night. He is such a precious little boy!! It's amazing how you forget how teeny tiny babies are when they're born! He is so adorable, and I'm just so excited for them! Congrats again you guys! Your family is so beautiful, and we appreciate you guys so much!!

This is Ezekiel Arnie :)

Tyler loves hanging out at the Edens house- they always have ICE CREAM! :)

Kevin and Mia (Mia is a good big sis! Along with Alyssa, this boy is gonna be LOVED by his sisters!)

Fun With Nora

On Monday I had Nora here a couple hours, and her and Elijah had a blast playing together, and jumping on the trampoline. I had to grab this cute shot of them sportin' their cool shades! ;)

More Water Fun...

After we ate our frozen yogurt, Kevin decided to turn the sprinklers on for some more water fun. It was a VERY warm evening, so the sprinklers actually felt good. Elijah ran through once, but without the sunshine as an extra source of warmth, he decided not to run through anymore. Then both boys were having fun filling water cups full of water from the sprinkler, and dumping it on themselves (coaxed on by Kevin of course!). To make things easier, Kevin filled a 5 gallon bucket full of cold water, and they continued to dump water on themselves, Kevin, and even me. :) After a couple rounds of this, a slight breeze picked up, and Tyler started shivering, so the next 3 bucket fulls were of WARM water, from the sink in our garage. They had a blast. ;)
Tyler's not too sure about this, Daddy!
Kevin showed him how fun it was...
Then Elijah demonstrated the fun...
So Tyler decided it wasn't so bad.. he LOVES to do everything the "big boys" do
It was even MORE fun to get Daddy!
Brrrr... that water was cold!
Oooh, but THIS water is WARM!
Tyler didn't want to get out after the picture!

This is how we knew Tyler was done... ;)

Some Frozen Yogurt Fun

The other night after dinner we went out for some frozen yogurt. Tyler is a HUGE ice cream fan, and we even got some Reeses Pieces as a topping. Both boys enjoyed themselves IMMENSELY!

This is his face for "more" (self-taught, lol)

Fun Outside

It was very warm last week, and one afternoon after Kevin woke up, while Tyler was napping, we went out in the front yard and turned on the sprinklers. Elijah's NEVER shown interest in running through sprinklers, but lately is more willing to try new things. He had a blast. Kevin and I ended up wet also.. we had a lot of fun. He even got tricky and went backwards (getting himself good and wet!).

Happy Birthday, Danae!

On the 23rd Danae turned 21! They had us over on Saturday evening for dinner to celebrate. There were like 15 people in attendance (SO nice to have an event at someone else's place for a change!!!), and it was fun to all hang out together. Happy Birthday again Miss Danae- Love ya! :)
