The Mom Walk
Well, starting today I have joined a women's bible study called "The Mom Walk." We are going through a book by Sally Clarkson, and it's sounds like it's going to be really good. I'm so excited that my friend Stephanie Werdon is going with me. It will be fun to hang out each week, and grow in the Lord together. I have been wanting to do something like this for awhile, and recently heard that this was beginning. Even though today was just the first day, I can't tell you how nice it was to be in fellowship with other Christian mom's, many of whom stay home with their kids also, which makes us have so much in common. I will try to keep you posted on what I'm learning!
Dr. Appointments
Yesterday the boys had a conjoined Dr. appointment. Elijah is now 38 inches tall, and 30 lbs. The Dr. told us he is a little above average on both measurements (which surprised me about the weight!) Thankfully, he needed no shots, and doesn't even need to be seen again until right before he starts kindergarten for "pre-K" shots.
Tyler is now 24 3/4 inches long, and weighs 13 lbs 15 oz. Growing like a weed it seems, although is a bit smaller in weight and length than Elijah was at this stage. I have a feeling their body structures are going to be very different. Tyler, unfortunately, had to have two shots in each thigh (poor little guy), making four total. He was very sad, and mommy was heart broken, and has been keeping him on Tylenol because of the pain, and a low-grade fever (side-effect from the shots). We're just so thankful that both boys are growing strong, and are healthy, and happy. :)

A Beautiful Day at Manresa
(They are destined to marry, and already can't keep their eyes off eachother!) ;)
On Saturday, Kevin, the boys, and I along with Mark, Stephanie and Nora Werdon all enjoyed a gorgeous day at Manresa Sate Beach (Capitola area). It was 83 and beautiful, with not a cloud in the sky, nor wind. We set up our tent for the babies to escape the sun in, and ate lunch, swam, built sand castles, and enjoyed each other all day. Believe it or not, Kevin and Steph talked me into going into the ocean with them, where a wave almost took me OUT! We were literally IN the ocean, up to our necks! It was alot of fun, and I can't remember the last time I braved that! We were also fortunate enough to see a bunch of dolphins swimming VERY close to the shore-- they were actually swimming right out where Mark and Kevin had JUST been, but had come to shore for a break. They swam around for a long time, and then we saw some out further doing jumps in the water. It was so neat to see. Tyler didn't mind the feeling of sand between the toes, in fact Kevin even dug a little hole and SAT him in the sand at one point! (I was up at the car, or I would have put a stop to that, lol!) Elijah is still fearful of the ocean water, but put his feet in a few times holding Kevin's hand. He enjoyed playing with other kids there, and building sand castles. It was a great day.
A Milestone for Tyler
Play Doh!
Well, thanks to Auntie Amber, Elijah now has a 100-piece set of Play Doh MESS! ;) He had so much fun playing with it.. he has "played" with Play Doh before, but just a color or too. He didn't have anything fun to do with it, so he didn't really think too much of it. NOW he has cookie cutters, and a little contraption to squeeze the Play Doh through into different shapes, TONS of colors, and much more! It was a lot of fun! Thanks Auntie Amber!

Wii... What fun!!

For the last week or so, we've had a Wii in our house thanks to Kevin's cousin Ryan. He brought it by one day and hasn't been by to pick it up yet. Needless to say we've been having a blast with the Wii Sports game-- particularly bowling, baseball and golf. Some things Elijah can actually do all by himself, which is so cute to watch!! On Labor Day we had a BBQ here at our house with my parents, Thom and Charlene, and Kevin's brother Kyle.. we had a great time playing Wii for hours!

Summer Fun!

These pictures were taken in July, but I love the one of Elijah in his goggles! :) We went swimming over at Jeremy and Megan's house one evening, and Elijah has turned into quite the little fish! He loves to wear the "water wings," which makes our lives easier! The other picture is of Daddy doing "1,2...3!" in the water with Elijah where he THROWS him high into the air and catches him... he LOVES it!
