FORE!!

On Friday evening we decided to take the kids miniature golfing-- or at least ATTEMPT it! Elijah has been once before, but this was Tyler's first experience. Elijah surprised me with how hard he actually swung, and how well he did. His energy was amazing as he would play the same hole at least 3 times, and was over joyed when it was time to move to the next hole. Tyler enjoyed carrying his ball in one hand, and club in the other. When it came time for him to hit the ball, he was very upset to have to put it on the ground. So, he mostly walked all around, up and down, each hole, and investigated. Kevin and I didn't really get a chance to seriously play, which probably was a good thing as the first few holes we didn't hit so well! ;) We did each get one hole in one, and Elijah did also- which was fun to see!

This Kid is Nuts!

So I'm inside chatting with Kelly, and Kevin and Kyle wave me down and tell me to come outisde to "watch." I then see them tossing my one year old precious son back and forth across the trampoline. Some of you might be thinking I probably freaked out... but let me remind you-- this is my 2nd son. I've seen it all, lol. The difference is: Tyler actually LOVES this!!!

Baking Brownies

While Kevin was busy putting a coat of wax and perfeting his truck, we decided to make some brownies. This was Tyler's first cooking experience, and let's just say he was a fan! ;) He helped pour in the water, while Elijah poured in the oil and an egg or two. Of course BOTH of the boys' favorite part was licking the bowl.. and I do actually mean LICKING it!! Ha ha... we had fun. :)

Washing Daddy's Truck

On Kevin's day off he decided that his truck needed a good washing after his recent camping trip to the ocean. The boys and I decided to help. I ended up being the supervisor (as Kevin enjoys washing his truck a certain way and preferred me to just keep an eye on the boys), and let the boys "help" however they wanted. Elijah sprayed as needed (and whenever he saw fit!), and Tyler enjoyed carrying around the cloth and occasionally washing. It was fun. :)

After truck washing we hung out in the back a little and played...

Kevin being silly

Tyler has watched Elijah blow bubbles, and decided he had it all figured out. He's also recently discovered that the water spicket for the dogs is a fun place to play in, and get things wet... so he had a little routine going: instead of dipping the bubble wand in the bubbles, he would go get it wet at the spicket. There weren't even bubbles in the bottle anyway because he had spilled them and refilled it with water from the spicket-- it was really funny and cute. :)

Let's Start Painting!

So Danae was down for the weekend to help move her and Jaron's things into their new house they're renting. It's a very nice place, I'm even jealous! (They have TWO bathrooms!!!) She mentioned to me that she would be painting alone on Friday, and that Elijah was more than welcome to help paint. This made me VERY nervous, but I then decided "how bad could it be!?" He did absolutely wonderfully, and I was actually surprised that his short attention span allowed him to paint as much as he did. He had a lot of fun. Tyler was napping during our painting extravaganza, and I planned on letting him participate after he woke up. He ended up sleeping so long that he missed out, lol.

She picked out "smoke blue" for their bedroom.. it came out really nice

Getting Ready for Bedtime

Just some fun pictures I found on my camera and wanted to share! :) Tyler loves to rock on this horse (which was mine when I was little), and this particular night INSISTED on wearing the hat, lol
The boys were playing with the dogs through the window... now that Tyler can climb onto Elijah's bed, he loves to do this
Kevin prayed with the boys before bed, and they all snuggled together on Elijah's bed :)

Congratulations Kevin!

This morning Kevin was recognized by the State of California, along with AAA for having alot of 10851 (that's the code for stolen vehicle) recoveries. We were treated to lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory, and Kevin along with a few other officers from Stockton PD and CHP were given awards. I am so proud of all the hard work Kevin does... He serves God daily by protecting and serving this city-- even though MOST of the time it comes with no appreciation from it's people (good thing he seeks to please God, not man!). Please always keep his safety and sanity in your prayers as he patrols the streets. :)

That's my man!

I'm so proud of him!
We got dressed up to go-- ended up being a little overdressed compared to most of the guys in jeans and t-shirts! Where's the fun in that!?!
