Playtime

Elijah was sharing his cars
Tyler was tasting the cars ;)
What a cutie!
Boys playin in the bathtub
Check out the ribs-- yes, we do feed him!
Tyler likes to crawl around with things in his mouth
And pull himself to a standing position-- even in the bathtub!

The boys are really getting to where they can enjoy playing together. Elijah still "mothers" him, and takes things away alot, but he's learning to share. :) They LOVE taking baths together, and now that Tyler is pulling himself up on EVERYTHING he has to be watched especially closely! He loves to crawl around the bathtub, and pull himself up on the ledge, which totally freaks me out, lol. The bruise on his forehead is finally disappearing, but give him a day and I'm sure he'll get another one!

Bad Habits

Well, a normal part of development includes babies "finding" their ears, and nose, and various other body parts. Tyler has found his nose, well his NOSTRILS, and very much enjoys the fact that his little finger fits perfectly inside. This is his new favorite thing to do, and I am taking that finger out of there almost all day long. I know this is normal, and it doesn't mean he'll turn into a nose picker (like his brother I'm sad to say!), but it definitely has crossed my mind! Elijah has also turned into quite the little fingernail biter, which started out due to a rock smashing his finger nail, and causing it to lift and break away. Once he started biting at this sharp nail, it carried over to the rest of his nails. He does it completely subconsciously now, but it drives me crazy. It's such a gross habit, and he's starting to really bite them down low. So, hopefully Tyler won't learn these bad habits, although he is a boy-- he might just pick them up all on his own! ;)

It's A Boy!!!

Well, I previously posted that my sister and her husband are expecting, but she just found out what it is-- a BOY!!! I have to say, I was COMPLETELY shocked, in fact I kept telling her I didn't believe her! I just knew and my mind was made up that she would have a girl. I've been blessed with two boys, and I figured she'd have the girls, or at least the first one. But, at her 18 week appt. the doctor was pretty sure she could see a boy! I am SOO ecstatic! I know Linz would love to have a girl, and especially the FIRST girl, and I still hope that that happens for her, but because I have two boys that this one will be close in age to, I'm excited that they'll have a boy cousin to play with! My hope is that although there's a bit of a distance between them NOW, that they will still be REALLY close throughout their lives. Tyler and the baby will only be a little over a year apart- that's hardly anything when they get older! So, all we've been praying for is a healthy, happy baby-- so even if the doctor was mistaken we're equally happy for a girl... but, for now, we're excited for a boy-- after all, boys are fun! Never thought I'd have all boys, being one of two girls, but God knows what He's doing! :) Congratulations Linz and Jordan, boy or girl I know the baby will be adorable, and you'll make great parents!

Tyler Gives Kisses

This was taken with my cell phone, so it's not the clearest, and there's a line down the right side cause my phone is dumb, but you get the picture-- he started doing it so I ran for my phone! The kisses are slobber messes, but they still count! :) He has also learned how to clap his hands, which is so cute... I'll try to catch it on video! He's changing almost everyday, which is so exciting. Elijah and him really get along, and they love to play (even though Elijah takes almost everything away from him, lol).

Tyler's 1st Hair Cut!

Before

After! :)

Elijah, Tyler and Nora playing together
Nora Werdon, what a doll!! :)

Well, Tyler got his first hair cut on Sunday! I am so thrilled.. he needed one badly. His bangs were getting so long, and the sides were getting shaggy! Since Linz is so far away, we were going to take him to Supercuts before the wedding, but it got kinda hectic and we ran out of time. I never really liked the idea of that- I wanted the first haircut to be special. Then Sunday it dawned on me that Katie could do it while she was in town, as long as she was willing that is! :) She was excited when I brought it up, so we did it while we were hanging out together over at Mark and Steph Werdon's house. She was so patient, and careful, and did such a great job! He looks like a little boy now! ;) Thank you again, Katie!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Left to right: Gabriel, Andrea, Seth, Amber, Katie, Kevan, Katrina and Kevin

Saturday, January 10th, Amber Smith and Seth Peoples were united in holy matrimony here in Stockton, at the Central United Methodist Church. Amber has been my best friend since we were in the 8th grade, which totals to almost 13 fantastic years. I have known her even longer than that, as her triplet cousins lived next door to me for many years, and as children we would play together. She and I have been through many things during our friendship together, but am happy to say that she is the best friend I have ever, or will ever have. I love her like a sister. Saturday I was so blessed to witness her marry her husband, Seth, and oh how beautiful she looked! He is such a great guy, and I am so happy for the both of them. Congratulations you two! Love you guys!

No, no, no!

Tyler has recently discovered how fun it is to shake his head "no." He actually did this for the first time around Thanksgiving, but hasn't really done it since. Now he LOVES to do this all the time, and sometimes gets going so good that he begins to get a little dizzy, lol.
